You seem much too quiet these days,
You sit and stare off in space.
I don’t see you smile and laugh at all.
But in that sorry side of you I see
something new,
Something hiding out of view, something
seen by very few.
And in that saddest shade of blue I see a
spark of youth,
Waiting for it’s cue that would be
something new.
Shall I walk across the water
to you?
Shall I dance among the stars
with you?
Shall I carry you away with
me?
Or shall I turn and go the
other way?
You don’t seem receptive to my plea,
As if you don’t want to look at me.
But I’m a friend until the end.
And in that sorry side of you I see
something new,
Something hiding out of view, something
seen by very few.
And in that saddest shade of blue I see a
spark of youth,
Waiting for it’s cue that would be
something new.
Shall I walk across the water
to you?
Shall I dance among the stars
with you?
Shall I carry you away with
me?
Or shall I turn and go the
other way?
I want to make you happy, I want to make
you glow.
And I’ll make you happy, when I let me
feelings show.
Shall I walk across the water to you?
Shall I dance among the stars
with you?
Shall I carry you away with
me?
Or shall I turn and go the
other way? |
